Among China's southernmost ski resorts, Liupanshui in Guizhou province offers a unique experience: skiing in short sleeves.

With the season kicking off on Dec 29, the city's Meihuashan Ski Resort has drawn a steady stream of visitors. Thanks to temperatures lingering just above freezing, skiers can enjoy the slopes comfortably in light clothing.
