New policies for children promising

By Amakobe Sande

I was happy to attend the two sessions this week on behalf of UNICEF. Over the past year, we have seen the framing of a range of new policies for children in China, which hold the promise of significant advances across a range of children's issues. This is especially important for children who have been left behind, such as those with disabilities or affected by migration. The emphasis on basic social services and investment in children was also very welcome. We look forward to partnering with the Chinese government to implement these policies for children.
