'Mickey 17' to hit screens on Friday

Following a darkly comedic yet satirical scene in which one Pattinson attempts to kill the other, the situation spirals further out of control. The spaceship's eccentric and clueless commander, along with his wife, escalates tensions by trying to provoke a war with the alien creatures — the indigenous inhabitants of the planet, which they endeavor to colonize.

The film held preview screenings in Beijing and seven other Chinese cities on March 2, with the Beijing venue decorated with elements from the film.

The film will be released nationwide on March 7.
