Indonesia's TransNusa Airlines has announced that it will officially open a direct flight route linking Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, to Bali starting on April 14, providing a new "cloud express" service for passengers from the two countries.
The opening of the new route provides more convenient travel options for Chinese tourists who love island scenery and injects fresh vitality into the tourism and economic cooperation and exchanges between China and Indonesia, according to a statement released by the airlines on Monday.
According to the schedule, the flight will operate four times a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, using an Airbus A320, with a flight time of about five hours.
"China is the core market for the recovery of Southeast Asian tourism, and the new route will connect the cultural landscape of Bali with the economic vitality of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promoting cultural and tourism cooperation and economic exchanges," said the statement.
The Guangzhou-Bali route will become the third direct route opened by TransNusa Airlines from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to Indonesia. The airlines previously opened direct flight routes from Guangzhou to Jakarta and Manado.
Bali has long been a popular destination for Chinese tourists. With the new flight route, more Chinese tourists will be able to easily reach the island and experience the charm of the beautiful Southeast Asian scenery, creating broader development prospects for economic and trade cooperation between China and Indonesia, according to the statement.
