TCL boosts AI integration in consumer electronics and home appliances

Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer TCL Technology Group Corp is doubling down on artificial intelligence through bolstering its application in home appliances and consumer electronic products.

The company focuses on three core business segments, including intelligent terminals, semiconductor displays and photovoltaics. In the field of intelligent manufacturing, TCL has stepped up investments in AI and digital twin technology to improve the digitalization level of enterprises.

TCL plans to continue advancing technological innovation and investing more in research and development to achieve breakthroughs in key technologies while promoting the application of these technical achievements and driving the transformation and upgrading of the high-tech manufacturing industry.

TCL is showcasing a diverse range of intelligent terminal products, including televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, mobile phones, augmented reality glasses, e-sports displays and AI-enabled companion robots at the ongoing Appliance & Electronics World Expo (AWE) 2025 in Shanghai.

TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology, a subsidiary of TCL, is also exhibiting its printing organic light-emitting diode or OLED displays and OLEDs used in smartphone and laptop screens, with sizes ranging from 5.5 inches to 150 inches.

Last month, the company signed a global partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), becoming the official worldwide Olympic and Paralympic partner in the home audiovisual equipment and home appliances category.
