China's LED industry evolves from advertising signs to smart displays

The 10th session of International Smart Display and Integrated System Exhibition (ISLE 2025) was successfully held at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center from March 7-9, 2025. As a major event in the global audio-visual, communication and LED display industries, ISLE 2025 had an exhibition area of 80,000 square meters, over 1,000 online and onsite exhibitors, and more than 220,000 visits from global buyers. Nearly 200 delegations visited ISLE 2025, covering fields such as system integration, live shows and entertainment, advertising and media, etc.

Liu Quandong, chairman of Canton Fair Advertising Co Ltd (co-organizer of ISLE), said the change in the name of ISLE exhibition itself is a microcosm of the development of China's LED industry. At the initial years of ISLE, LED was primarily used in advertising signs. With technological advancements, displaying gradually became the mainstream application for LED industry, and the ISLE exhibition gradually adopted display as its key theme. As application scenarios continued to expand, the LED industry advanced toward the field of smart displays. Nowadays, with the rise of system integration, LED display is more than just a single product or technology, but part of a comprehensive solution encompassing multiple industries. Therefore, the ISLE exhibition now is positioned as a smart display and system integration exhibition to better reflect industry trends and market demands.

The ISLE exhibition provides exhibitors with an opportunity to showcase their strengths, promote brand images, and expand market share.
