Talks with US in Riyadh 'useful', says Russian negotiator

MOSCOW - A senior Russian negotiator on Tuesday described recent talks with the United States in Riyadh as "useful", TASS news agency reported.

"Everything was discussed, there was a rich, difficult dialogue, but very useful for us and for the Americans," said Grigory Karasin, one of Russia's chief negotiators at the talks and chairman of the committee on international affairs in Russia's upper house.

Karasin said that the talks between Russia and the United States will continue, he said.

The latest round of talks between Russian and US delegations concluded Monday in Riyadh after some 12 hours, and a joint statement following the talks is expected on Tuesday, Russian media reported.
