Sinotrans deployed an initial fleet of 10 Level 4 autonomous driving electric container trucks for operations at the port in 2024, utilizing AI technology for data labeling and model training and achieving 200-meter full-area perception without blind spots.

"They can autonomously navigate in complex port environments and plan the optimal route efficiently," said Zhang.

The port launched an AI assistant service system in March that uses large models to identify complex questions and provide accurate, instant responses. The system offers 24-hour online support to address customer inquiries regarding berth schedules, container dynamics or loading and unloading ship progress.
