On World Health Day, Siddharth Chatterjee, UN resident coordinator in China, reveals his health journey. In March 2020, he weighed 85kg with hypertension and prediabetes. By integrating Daoist practices, Confucian wellness, Buddhist meditation and yoga pranayama, he lost 25kg in 5 years, achieving a resting heart rate of 35-40 beats per minute, similar to the level of an elite athlete.

"This isn't just weight loss, but a complete mind-body renewal," said Chatterjee. "Health shouldn't be a privilege, but a fundamental right for all." He particularly commended China's "Healthy China 2030" initiative as a global public health model.

"Age is no barrier to wellness. Through holistic approaches, everyone can rewrite their health story. China demonstrates that population health is the cornerstone of sustainable development," said Siddharth Chatterjee.
