HOUSTON -- Three people were killed after a small plane crashed near Boca Raton Regional Airport in the southeastern US state of Florida on Friday morning, according to a report from the BocaNewsNow.com.
The death toll has not yet been confirmed by authorities.
Boca Raton Police confirmed the crash in a post on social media, saying the nearby roads have been closed while urging people to "avoid the area".
The aircraft had reported mechanical issues minutes before the crash, said the BocaNewsNow report.
