"With this magnificent bamboo-inspired pavilion, China is presenting its vision of building a community of life for man and nature within a future society of green development," Kerkentzes said.
Scheduled to run from April 13 to October 13, the expo is expected to draw about 28.2 million visitors, according to the Japan Association.
"Over the next six months, visitors from Japan and around the world will be informed, inspired, and amazed by China's pavilion. They will explore the richness of China's cultural heritage and ancient wisdom, as well as the technological innovations and creative solutions shaping modern China," he added.
Chinese Ambassador to Japan Wu Jianghao said he hopes that those who come to the expo would gain a deeper understanding of China's 5,000-year-old civilization and the vibrant image of modern China — a friendly, enterprising, and open nation.
"No matter how the external environment changes, China's door of openness will only open wider…We will continue to promote a more equal and orderly multipolar world and inclusive globalization," Wu said.
According to him, China is willing to work together with Japan and other countries to jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind.
Masakazu Tokura, chairman of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, expressed hope that the expo would serve as a catalyst for new connections and innovations. He encouraged friends from China to seize this opportunity to engage deeply with global visitors, inspire one another, and work together to create a blueprint for a "future society that shines with life".
Tokura, who is also chairman of the Japan Business Federation, known as Keidanren, said China is one of Japan's most important bilateral relationships. Keidanren will make proactive efforts to promote the healthy and stable development of Japan-China relations, especially in the area of economic exchange and cooperation.
