Putin, US special envoy start meeting at Kremlin: media

MOSCOW -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and US presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff started their meeting at the Kremlin, local media reported Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the meeting will be a key step toward a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine crisis, adding that Putin and Witkoff will discuss the understandings reached between Kiev and Washington regarding the search for solutions.
