Amid the deep integration of artificial intelligence, China's intelligent driving industry maintained steady growth in 2025, with leading suppliers making faster progress in commercialization and competition across the sector intensifying.
According to a white paper recently released by the China Automotive New Supply Chain Research Institute, Momenta, DeepRoute.ai and Huawei HI ranked as the top three third-party providers by cumulative urban autonomous driving system (NOA) deployments between January and October 2025.
In terms of growth, DeepRoute.ai and Huawei HI posted faster expansion during the period, with deployment volumes increasing by 2.7 times and 1.6 times, respectively, the white paper said.
Such performance of leading suppliers such as Huawei, DeepRoute.ai and Momenta shows that technological maturity and commercialization capacity are playing a growing role in shaping competition in the urban NOA market, alongside shifting demand.
A breakdown of the October figures showed that DeepRoute.ai and Momenta each logged about 30,000 to 35,000 urban NOA installations, accounting for roughly 38 percent of total deployments among third-party suppliers and tying for the top spot.
Experts said the trends point to rising demand for stronger commercialization and expansion capabilities alongside continued technological advances. Steady industry growth will hinge on innovation-driven companies sustaining momentum in product development and technology iteration, supporting broader application and industry upgrading.
