Feathers, fantasy and fate: Ling Yi arrives in Beijing

The production is the first dance drama created by producer Li Zongru, a graduate of the Beijing Film Academy, who has long been passionate about dance theater.

One of the production's biggest draws has been its appeal to younger female audiences, many of whom are experiencing dance theater for the first time. Describing the production as "like an animated epic brought to life", these viewers are drawn to the striking contrast of powerful soldiers and graceful celestial dancers.

The production is slated to continue its national tour, with over 200 performances scheduled across numerous cities throughout the year.
