A wildlife protection campaign aimed at safeguarding migratory birds kicked off on Monday in the coastal city of Qinhuangdao, North China's Hebei province.
Thirteen rehabilitated wild birds, including eagle owls, peregrine falcons, and goshawks, were released into the wild during a launch ceremony for the 2026 Hebei Province Bird Guardians Action and Qinhuangdao Bird Loving Week.
The initiative brings together Hebei, Beijing, and Tianjin, as well as Liaoning and Shandong provinces, to protect the East Asian-Australasian Flyway migratory route.
