All major public traditional Chinese medicine hospitals across the nation are capable of delivering pediatric services, a TCM official said on Friday.

Efforts have also been made to promote the use of tui na, or Chinese therapeutic massage, herbal plaster, and other TCM therapies in treating pediatric illnesses, Dong Yunlong, an official at the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, told a news conference.

"These techniques are easy to perform, produce quick results, and are widely welcomed by the public," he said.

Dong added that TCM health management services for toddlers aged 3 and under are now being offered as part of the nation's family doctor program. Throughout 2025, such services had benefited 24.2 million people.

Meanwhile, a series of TCM standards for pediatric diseases have been released to promote the standardization and quality of treatment. These include standards for TCM's use in tackling pediatric asthma, anorexia, preventing and controlling myopia, as well as adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and tic disorders, he added.
