Local ties anchor China-Belarus forum's 43 cooperation deals in Gansu
Gansu province, which established a sister-province relationship with Belarus' Grodno Oblast in 2007, pointed to its expanding cooperation in trade, education, scientific research, and cultural exchanges. Five Gansu cities have established sister-city partnerships with municipalities in Grodno.
Higher education cooperation also advanced, with Lanzhou University signing an agreement with Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno to promote joint research, academic exchanges, and innovation.
Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov described people-to-people exchanges as the cornerstone of bilateral cooperation, saying closer collaboration in culture, education, and healthcare would help cultivate a new generation committed to China-Belarus friendship.
