One hundred sixty Oriental white storks fledge at Heilongjiang reserve

"The successful fledging of a large number of baby birds demonstrates the stable and excellent ecological conditions of the reserve, which are suitable for the habitation and breeding of rare bird species," said Zhang Yue, deputy director of the reserve.

The Oriental white stork is a national first-class protected animal with very high requirements for its habitat and breeding environment.
