UN official hails China's unique role in global affairs

This year marks the 55th anniversary of the restoration of the lawful seat of the People's Republic of China in the United Nations. In an exclusive interview with China Daily, Stephen Jackson, UN resident coordinator in China, noted that over the past 55 years, China has brought a unique Global South perspective into the United Nations, effectively balancing the landscape of global governance. Now China has become an active contributor and leader in global affairs.
