Xinjiang's Turpan Basin buzzes as grape harvest peaks in July heat

In 2025, Turpan's fresh grape sales exceeded 500,000 metric tons, generating more than 2 billion yuan ($295 million) in revenue, a record high.

On Friday, Liu Zi'ang, a journalist from the local integrated media center, visited vineyards in Sanbao township of Gaochang district, Turpan, and captured images of the grape harvest, from picking and sorting to loading for transport.
