Postal hub opened to celebrate Beijing Central Axis

On Monday, marking the second anniversary of the Beijing Central Axis' inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Tai'anli Beijing Central Axis Museum launched a limited-edition commemorative envelope and officially opened a temporary post office, adopting an integrated "postal + museum" model to expand new channels for cultural promotion.

Using postage stamps as miniature cultural ambassadors, the launch ceremony integrated the millennia-old cultural veins of the Beijing Central Axis with modern public cultural services, making the ancient capital's rich history more tangible, collectible and shareable.

During the event, the temporary post office at Tai'anli Beijing Central Axis Museum was officially opened, marking a further enhancement of the museum's public service functions.

Wang Libo, general manager of the Xicheng district branch of China Post Group, says that the temporary post office will function as a cultural hub, with the limited-edition commemorative envelopes serving as its signature carrier and specially designed commemorative postmarks as distinctive symbols. The initiative combines postal culture with the World Heritage value of the Beijing Central Axis, bringing the landmark cultural treasure into everyday life.

At the event, new cultural and creative products related to the Beijing Central Axis were also unveiled. The series of creative products, rooted in the cultural essence of the axis, covers a diverse range of categories including fridge magnets, stationery and plush toys.

Through contemporary, lifestyle-oriented designs, the products reinterpret traditional culture for modern audiences, offering visitors an immersive way to engage with the Beijing Central Axis while breathing new life into the cultural legacy of China's ancient capital city.
