With the summer tourism season in full swing across the country, the Xixia Imperial Tombs in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, are experiencing a surge in popularity among travelers.
On the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains, the mausoleums of the Xixia Dynasty (1038-1227) showcase distinctive cemetery architecture and exquisite stone carvings.
In July 2025, the Xixia Imperial Tombs were included in UNESCO's World Heritage List, bringing China's total number of world heritage sites to 60.
