Newly enrolled People's Liberation Army Air Force cadets from across the country arrived at the Aviation University of Air Force in Changchun, Jilin province, aboard Y-20 aircraft, one day before the 99th anniversary of the founding of the PLA on August 1.

Their trip marks the fifth consecutive year that the PLA Air Force has dispatched multiple domestically developed large transport aircraft to bring cadets to the university. The Y-20B aircraft, powered by domestically developed engines, participated in the mission for the first time, according to the PLA Air Force.

More than 100 of the cadets' parents were invited to travel on the aircraft with their children so they could observe their studies, training, and daily life.
