The Maori haka dance shared a stage with ethnic dance forms from China's Guizhou province on Wednesday during a cultural exchange event in Rotorua, New Zealand.

The dances from the Chinese delegation featured 25 performers from Guizhou's grassroots Village Runway, including amateur models from the Miao and Dong ethnic groups.

The troupe had traveled at the invitation of New Zealand Fashion Week. While there, they took the opportunity to connect with local Indigenous communities, according to Guizhou Daily.
