The consumption trend among Chinese consumers has shifted from "buying" to "experiencing" this summer — with soccer chants and desert stargazing emerging as the new spending currency in 2026. From 450-million-yuan ($60.93 million) targeted vouchers to visa-free entry and instant departure tax refunds, a converging policy toolkit is injecting sustained momentum into the experience economy.
