Rescuers launch operation after mudslide hits near Sichuan village

A rescue team dispatched by the Liangshan detachment of the Sichuan Fire and Rescue Brigade has arrived at the scene to carry out search-and-rescue operations after a mudslide struck near Zhiliuhe village in Yanbian county, Sichuan province, early Saturday.

The disaster has left five people missing, Xinhua News Agency reported.

The rescue team is divided into two groups, combining ground searches with search-and-rescue dogs and aerial patrols with drones.
