Morgan Stanley economist calls for greater China-US strategic stability

Robin Xing, chief China economist at Morgan Stanley, has called for greater strategic stability between China and the United States.
"Even if the two sides continue to have divergent interests in certain sensitive areas, reaching broader consensus on global development and maintaining a stable strategic environment would benefit both sides," Xing said. He stressed the need to manage differences in sensitive areas to avoid supply chain disruptions, while maintaining cooperation and stronger trade ties in less sensitive areas. He also highlighted the importance of dialogue on competition in artificial intelligence.
