URKL robot combat city tour debuts in Shanghai's Baoshan district

The tournament was hosted by the local government of Baoshan district, organized by Shenqing Robotics and supported by the Shanghai Industrial Park of Robotics.

Zhang Ying, general manager of Shanghai Industrial Park of Robotics, said the park will leverage top-tier tournaments to pool industry resources and turn short-term buzz into long-term growth across the entire humanoid robot value chain. The world's first humanoid robot combat club is set to open in Baoshan this October.

China's robot combat events are accelerating global expansion. On Sept 9, 10 EngineAI T800 robots debuted at the CyberHero global robot combat league in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the first humanoid robot combat event in the Middle East, it marked China's official entry into the professional international stage of robot combat.
