Insiders unveil film lineup for holidays

The lineup includes Dunhuang Warriors, a historical drama about a group of patriotic figures during the Tang Dynasty (618-907); The Old Dog, in which a theft case unravels a web of mysteries; and The Legend of a Tofu Maker, which follows craftsmen seeking to bring a local specialty to audiences around the world.

A series of films are also targeting the National Day holiday, including director Chen Sicheng's Traces of Justice, which draws on four cases spanning half a century; Huo Se Sheng Xiang (Alive and Vibrant), about the colorful lives of elderly residents in a community; and Go for Broke 2, which continues the first installment's themes of revenge, truth and rebirth.

International releases will add further variety to the holiday lineup, including Brad Pitt's survival thriller Heart of the Beast and director Zach Cregger's horror film Resident Evil.
