The Shared Beauty of the Crested Ibis Pavilion opened at the ninth China International Import Expo in Shanghai on Nov 6, bringing together 27 companies from China and five other countries for an exhibition featuring conservation projects, artwork, and products inspired by the bird.
Jointly launched by the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the municipal government of Hanzhong, Shaanxi province, the pavilion gives Chinese and international participants a place to share their work and explore new ways to cooperate.
At the opening ceremony, participating companies presented new products. L'Oreal China and Czech crystal maker Eleonora Crystal 1834 introduced conservation and public welfare initiatives. The program highlighted Shanghai Dance Theatre's The Crested Ibis, which premiered in 2014 and has since toured overseas.
