The Beijing Municipal Drug Administration is responsible for protecting public health by supervising the research, manufacturing, distribution and use of human drugs and medical devices, including Chinese crude drugs, prepared slices of Chinese crude drugs, traditional Chinese medicine preparations, chemical drug substances and preparations, antibiotics, biochemical drugs, biological products, diagnostic agents, radioactive pharmaceuticals, narcotic drugs, medicinal toxic drugs, psychotropic substances, medical devices, sanitary materials, packaging materials or containers. The BJDA is responsible for the supervision on safety of health food and cosmetics.
