Chaoyang Park

People say Chaoyang Park is the "green lungs" of Beijing. You can find many more parks, but here are the biggest grasslands, largest water area and no park holds more celebrations and shows than Chaoyang Park.

The park has an up-to-date landscape design: the fireworks display plaza, fountain plaza, merry-go-round plaza, umbrella tower plaza, Fangzhou Lake plaza, grassland plaza, boat plaza. Some plazas are built along the lake; some are in the open; some overlook the grassland; some scatter here and there. The park has been a venue of many celebrations and shows: international business festivals, pop music festivals, chrysanthemum exhibitions, and children's painting competitions.

Many public cultural events are held each year, such as the International Culture Festival and Chaoyang Pop Music Festival. A tour offers delights for the scenery and special events. When parking at the south gate is full on holidays, you can park at the east or west gates and start your tour there.
