The 11th Fragrant Hills Flower Festival and the 2013 Spring Cultural Activities in Beijing’s Parks kicked off with the melodious “Voice of Spring” concert at the Bright Temple in Fragrant Hills Park on April 18.
More than 100 unique activities are scheduled to be launched in different parks in Beijing starting this April. Visitors will have the rare chance to experience Beijing’s ecological civilization and park culture.
The series of cultural activities are arranged based on four seasons and will last until this December, according to the organizer. The festival attracts visitors with a combination of exhibitions, interactive activities and popular science education travel.
Roughly 16 historic parks displayed their features in terns of cultural tourism, unique cultural activities, tourism products and creative cultural projects at the opening ceremony. Visitors are encouraged to join in the colorful activities and enjoy the peace and harmony while they appreciate the beautiful scenery, learn traditional culture and exercise.
The organizer plans to promote different activities according to different months. Visitors will have opportunities to appreciate flowers in a spring outing, experience revolutionary traditions during summer and pray for blessings on the mountain top in autumn.
