At this year’s Beijing Fair, organizers are expecting the attendance of business people from 42 countries and an estimated amount of deals worth 60 billion yuan.
At last year’s fair, there were 31 deals worth more than 45.7 billion yuan.
The distribution session of Beijing Fair is a handy place for commercial matchmaking. One major part of this year’s fair is a joint Beijing Brand Association - World Trade Point Federation event on May 31 to promote leading international service providers, for example, Carrefour, Walmart, the Beijing Yishang Group, Beijing Er Shang Group, and Beijing Xinfadi Marketplace, which does nearly 10 billion yuan worth of business annually this year.
Xinfadi has set up a vegetable and fruit supply chain by expanding its scope of cooperation, between consumers in Beijing and suppliers in other parts of China and around the globe. According to some reports, it has four million hectares of land for agricultural products.
“We are able to ensure a sufficient supply of watermelon on Beijing market throughout four seasons, given our wide range of agricultural bases in Hainan, Inner Mongolia, northeastern China, Burma, and Vietnam.” Said spoksperson of Xinfadi marketplace.
Other Beijing Fair participants include six Tunisian enterprises in the medical equipment and biological industry, a couple of logistics firms and travel agencies, Bolivian jewelers looking for business in China, and enterprises from Argentina looking to cooperate in the automobile insurance sector.
People visiting the Fair also have a chance to taste some special tea samples and watch a tea ceremony if they drop by the Beijing Royal Tea Plantation.
