Orenda, a villa community in the rural area north of Beijing, and Jean-Luc Thunevin, pioneer producer of garage wine on the Right Bank of France's Bordeaux wine region held a launching ceremony recently in Beijing to mark their corporation. As one of the earliest innovative winemakers of garage wine, Thunevin and followers broke from the traditional style of red Bordeax wine, and made wine with a more pronounced oak taste in his wineries. The villa community invited Thunevin to be its consultant for its wine club, and to direct its proprietors on how to make garage wine with grapes the community proprietors produce.
