The Canadian Tourism Commission held its fourth Canada Winter Fashion Show recently in Beijing's Nanshan Ski Village and unveiled the newly renovated Canada Ski Cafe in the resort.
Eleven ski lovers and professional models displayed stylish skiwear and ski goggles from famous brands, including Quiksilver and Roxy, on a catwalk. The commission will make more effort to promote Canada as a destination to the Chinese market in 2014 and develop more tour agency partners and tour products. "Winter is the best time to explore Canada. Besides skiing, we have unusual activities, such as dog-sledding and ice hotels, and the most impressive winter festivals. I hope you can experience that Canadian style," says Derek Galpin, the commission's managing director in China.
