The drama Devotement hit the stage of the National Theater of China in Beijing on Dec 19 with more than 300 people attending the premiere. It is the first charitable performance given by the Beijing Municipal Office of Civil Air Defense, and has 12 schedule performances. Based on the history of China's civil air defense program, the drama tells the story of an officer's promise to his mother and his devotion to the cause of the civil air defense in China. The cast plans to tour every district of Beijing next year.
