Award-winning percussionist Li Biao will be the conductor of New Year's concerts featuring the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio di Parma, one of Italy's most famous orchestras, in Beijing. Li, who began appearing onstage as a conductor in 2011, has established an international reputation. The orchestra will perform classical pieces from Giuseppe Verdi in the first half of the concert, including Prelude to Da La Traviata and Force to Destiny. The second half of the concert will see Symphony No 9 (From the New World) in E Minor by Antonin Dvorak.
