Through music, dance and poetry, the multimedia show Face the Sea depicts the complicated relationships between deceased poet Hai Zi and his two lovers. Director Qu Yi, a big fan of Hai Zi, believes the poet killed himself because of love. This is the fourth show by Qu paying tribute to the poet. It follows a one-act play narrating Hai Zi's life in 2011, a mixed-genre show named after Hai Zi's famous poem Asian Bronze and a drama called How to Enter a Place That's Deeper Than Love.
