Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group held a press conference at Wangfujing Bookstore in Beijing on March 23 to mark the launch of a new book series on commercial real estate.
The series will offer the first commercial real estate guidebooks published by a company that is actually in the business of real estate. It aims to provide an explanation of Wanda’s achievements in this field, and hence promote a healthy development for the whole industry.

The two books in the series – Investment and Development of Commercial Real Estate and Operation and Management of Commercial Real Estate – cover the whole industrial chain, including planning, marketing, cost management, and risk control. Many contents were previously deemed confidential and this is the first time they have been made public.
Wang Jianlin, chairman of Wanda Group, named himself as chief editor of the series and invited vice presidents and CEOs within the conglomerate to contribute to the books – which show how important the series is inside Wanda.
The books were first initiated five years ago for training purposes. Having realized how unprofessional existing guidebooks on real estate were, Wang Jianlin then decided to develop the training materials into a book series.
Wangda Group is headquartered in Dalian, Northeast China. It entered real estate in 2000 and is currently the second largest real estate company in the world.
