A joint exhibition of two established oil painters, Li Jiangfeng and Zhuang Zhong, demonstrates their distinct charisma and artistic styles nurtured by their respective home regions. The extensive northern soil where Li grew up has rendered a mixed feeling of innocence, breadth and straightforwardness to her landscapes. Zhuang's works are vibrant with sophistication and elegance distilled from his native scenery in Jiangsu province. Both have worked hard to portray a land of silence and sadness, from which they carry out a dialogue between the language of oil painting and the philosophy of Chinese ink-and-wash.
