Multimedia science exhibition opens in Beijing

A multimedia science exhibition, also called a science tunnel, opened on Tuesday at the China Science and Technology Museum in Beijing to mark the 40th anniversary of the cooperation between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Max Planck Society, an independent association of German research institutions.

The exhibition targets students with a view to inspiring them to pursue a career in science and includes topics such as the universe, matter, life and energy.

"Raising public awareness of science is our mutual targets," said Bai Chunli, president of the CAS, adding that he hopes the collaboration will continue with greater achievements.

The Max Planck Society is one of most important partners for CAS and in 2013, the CAS dispatched more than 400 scientists to institutions under the Max Planck Society as guests.
