2 fake police officers sentenced to prison

Two Beijing residents have been sentenced to prison for pretending to be police officers in order to shake down prostitutes, Beijing Youth Daily reported on Sunday. A defendant surnamed Li was sentenced to one year, and a defendant surnamed Shi was sentenced to eight months, the report said. Twice last year, the men swindled prostitutes out of money by posing as police officers and "arresting" them, the report said.
