The education sector of the Third China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is expected to reach deals worth $8 billion, according to the China Education Association for International Exchange, host of the education section of this year's Beijing Fair.
As of April 23, 60 colleges and educational institutions from 13 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and Australia, had submitted their application for the 74 education booths at the fair.
The Beijing Fair, to be held between May 28 and June 1, is an annual event established in 2012. Approved by the State Council, the event is a state-level, international and comprehensive fair for the trade in services.
It is hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce and organized by the Beijing Municipal Government.
