A technical alliance for Zhongguancun’s healthcare service innovation industry was officially established at the third China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services on May 30.
It aims to make policies for the healthcare industry, set up industry and technical standards, explore the transformation of medical models and promote the construction of a healthcare industry park.
The alliance was sponsored by nine enterprises including CapitalBio Corporation, PKU HealthCare Industry Group, Beijing Tongrentang Group and Jingdong Mall. It has 27 members which are key enterprises and organizations in the field of health management, medical services, big data analysis, medical testing, mobile medical treatments, finance and insurance.
The healthcare service industry has a long industry chain covering drugs, medical equipment, healthcare supplies, protective food and fitness products.
Zhongguancun’s healthcare service industry has leading-edge technology and innovative business models and is expected to maintain a rapid growth of both economic and social benefits.
The service industry in Zhongguancun Science Park has accounted for more than 70 percent of its total industrial output value. Zhongguancun’s biological and health industry, represented by the healthcare service industry, reached a total revenue of 140 billion yuan ($22.4 billion) in 2013. Its profit rate has ranked first in the country for nine consecutive years.
