Wife pledges reform, divorce is avoided

A woman often ridiculed her husband's time in jail in front of others, and the man was embarrassed by her taunts and sought a divorce, Beijing Times reported on Monday. The man, surnamed Wang, was sentenced to one year in jail in 2001. Judges talked with the couple, and the wife promised not to do it again, so Wang withdrew his divorce request.
