A one-week landscape photography show entitled "European Impression" started this weekend at the Beijing Museum of Photography.
Fifty photos on display were taken by members of the SCOOLE Photographers' Association (SPA) in a journey to European cultural and natural attractions, including the Louvre Museum and Eiffel Tower in Paris, ancient Roman ruins in Italy, and small towns on the slope of the Alps.
Aiming to present to a Chinese audience a glimpse into the history, landscape and people's lives on the European continent, the organizer, SPA, hopes different perspectives in front of and behind the lens would bring further understanding.
Liu Jiwen, SPA executive chairman, said this year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France. The photographic journey and some of the best pictures also are portraits that detail life in France.
