The administrative committee of Zhongguancun, China's iconic technology park, and the state-owned Shougang Group in Beijing, have jointly signed a memorandum of understanding which aims to further boost the shared strategic emerging industry.
According to the memorandum, Shougang Group will provide a platform for companies from Zhongguancun to industrialize their innovations, including projects on sea water desalination and intelligent robots.
In addition, both sides are expected to upgrade the Beijing base of Shougang Group to a characteristic industrial park, featuring innovative entrepreneurships and emerging industries in the fields of big data, energy efficiency and environmental protection.
To promote economic integration of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, an industrial fund for joint development, along with some key technologies such as biomass energy, will be allocated to Shougang Group’s bases in Beijing and Caofeidian, Hebei province.
