Wu Guohuang, male, born in 1926, was formerly the director of the energy conservation office of the Logistics Department at the Beijing Jiaotong University.
He has helped the university to tremendously reduce water consumption through the installation of various water-saving devices, despite the rapid increase of population on campus. He was among the first in China to launch reclaimed water use on campus and has made great efforts to raise awareness of water conservation.
The water-saving devices invented under his supervision have been adopted by many colleges and universities in the city.
