Ren Shirong, male, born in 1935, is a well-known accordion master of the Art Troupe of the PLA Air Force Political Department.
The musician, who played for the Chinese soldiers during the Korean War regardless of enemy bombing, has won many awards over the years, including the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Chinese accordion development granted by the Confédération International des Accordéonistes (CIA), a member of the International Music Council (IMC-UNESCO). He became involved in public service after retirement, teaching local residents and the disabled free of charge.
